FEDARENE (European Federation of Regional Agency for Energy and Environment) is the main European network of regional organizations that are concerned with the implementation, coordination and promoting of energy and environment policies.

Maramureş county has joined this initiative in 2007, assuming a declaration for supporting the renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Between July –December 2008, our institution has joined the working group for energy performance of buildings being involved in the drafting of the report that modified the European Directive for Energy Efficiency of Buildings.

The cooperation continued along the years, consequently our county was a partner a project under the framework of INTERREG IVC program “Regions for climate protection: governing from knowledge to action (CLIMACT Regions)” implemented between2010-2013.
